పండరీపురం పాండురంగ ఉత్సవం : శ్రీకృష్ణుడు అవతారం చాలించిన తరువాత కూడా పుండరీకునికి ప్రత్యక్ష సన్నిహితునిగా మెలిగాడని పురాణగాథలు పేర్కొంటాయి. జ్ఞానేశ్వర్, తుకారాం, సక్కుబాయి వంటి కృష్ణభక్తులు ఆయనను ప్రత్యక్షంగా దర్శించినవారే. విఠలునిగా పండరీపురంలో నెలకొన్న కృష్ణస్వామిని తొలి ఏకాదశి వేళలో దర్శించేందుకు వార్కరీలని పిలిచే వేలాది భక్తులు వందలాది కిలోమీటర్ల దూరం పాదయాత్రగా తరలివస్తారు.అళంది, దేహు క్షేత్రాల నుంచి 250 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరం భక్తులు పాదయాత్రగా వస్తారు. ఇరవై ఒక్కరోజుల పాటు కొనసాగే ఈ పాదయాత్రనే మరాఠీలు వార్కరీ అని పిలుస్తారు. ఆషాఢం.. ఆధ్యాత్మికంగా ఎన్నో ప్రత్యేకతలు కలిగిన మాసం. అనేక ప్రాంతాల్లో సాంస్కృతిక అస్తిత్వానికి ప్రతీకలుగా నిలిచే పండుగలకూ ఉత్సవాలకూ కీలకమైన నెల. తెలంగాణలో బోనాల పండుగ, ఒడిషాలో పూరీ జగన్నాథుని రథయాత్ర అలాంటివే!  ఆ కోవకు చెందిన వేడుకే .. ‘వార్కరీ’. మహారాష్ట్రలో కుల వివక్షకు వ్యతిరేకంగా మొదలైన భక్తి ఉద్యమం.. వార్కరీ యాత్రలతో విజయతీరాలకు చేరింది. వారీ అంటే యాత్ర. కారీ అంటే యాత్రికులు. కాలినడకన ప్రయాణిస్తూ భక్తి పరమార్థాన్ని పదిమందికీ
